The heart of the microSHIFT Acolyte derailleur is the innovative SpringLock system. By combining a high tension spring with a tailored linear spring curve and a two-stage activation mechanism, microSHIFT has developed a system that secures the chain when necessary and can be deactivated if necessary. The super short cage version has a cage small enough to fit on a bike with 20″ wheels. With the same Springlock chain retention and sturdy metal construction as the full-size Acolyte, you can ride Super Shorts as hard as you want, no matter your size.
