Open Tubular tires use the same construction and materials as Challenge Tubular tires. But instead of stitching the casing into a closed tubular tire, the sidewalls are folded into a bead using aramid fibers. This open design offers the advantages of a tubular tire, but can be mounted like a normal clincher tire.
