Vulcanized natural rubber tires score with very good value for money and high durability at the expense of comfort and performance. Nylon is a carcass braid that is essentially available in three wire sizes – 33, 60 and 120 TPI (threads per inch) and wrapped around a wire or aramid tire bead. The nylon braid is dipped in a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered (pressed) between large steel rollers to create the finished carcass. In bicycle tires, nylon offers a first-class cost-benefit ratio due to its low price and relatively easy processing.

Tubeless ready:

Vulcanized synthetic rubber:
– In order to combine a long life with good driving characteristics, synthetic rubber is boiled and hardened.
